RECEIVING A FAX AFTER ANSWERING A CALL ON THE EXTENSION TELEPHONE

Overview

You can answer a call first, and then receive a fax on your machine.
If you have a pulse telephone line, change your telephone for tone signal calling.
  • To receive a fax after answering a call on the extension telephone:
    In "Setting mode", select [System Settings] → [Receive/Forward Setting] → [Fax Settings], and set [Receive Settings] to [Manual Reception].
  • To change the telephone number for fax reception:
    In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [System Settings] → [Image Send Settings] → [Fax Settings] → [Default Settings] → [Remove Reception Number Setting].

Operation

  1. When the telephone rings, off-hook the telephone and talk on the phone

  2. Switching the machine to fax reception

    Dial [5], [*] and [*] buttons of the external telephone.

    If you have changed the fax number, dial its number and push the [*] [*] button.

  3. On-hook the telephone

    A beep sounds when reception ends.

    If the extension phone is still lifted when fax transmission ends, an alarm signal will sound and a message will appear in the touch panel. The alarm and message will stop when the extension phone is replaced.
