SETTING COLOUR MODE

Overview

You can specify colour modes to make a copy.
Colour mode is ordinarily set to "Full Colour".
Auto
The machine automatically detects whether each original is colour or black & white and switches the mode appropriately (full colour for a colour original or black & white for a black & white original).
2 Colour
Extracts reddish colour used in the original to replace it with another colour and copies the original in this colour and black.For example, if Blue is the selected colour, the reddish portions included in the original is extracted and copied in blue. Any colours other than red are copied in black. (Reddish Colour)
It is also possible to extract colours other than black to replace them with another colour and copy the original in this colour and black. (Except Black)
Single Colour
The original is copied in a single colour regardless of the colours used in the original.

When colour mode is specified, the original is copied in Black & White if you tap the [B/W Start] key.
To change the default colour mode:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [System Settings][Copy Function Settings][Initial Status Settings][Colour Mode].
To change the standard to detect Black & White and Colour:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [System Settings][Device Control][Detect Standard in Auto Colour Mode]. When colour mode is set to auto, the discrimination point for detecting whether originals are colour or black and white can be set to one of 5 levels.

Operation

Auto mode

    Tap the [Colour Mode] key

    Tap the [Auto] key

    After the settings are completed, tap icon.
    If the colour mode is not switched correctly between Full Colour and Black & White in auto mode, switch colour modes manually.

Full Colour

    Tap the [Colour Mode] key

    Tap the [Full Colour] key

    After the settings are completed, tap icon.

Black & White

    Tap the [Colour Mode] key

  2. 2

    Tap the [B/W] key

    After the settings are completed, tap icon.

2 Colour

Copying colours other than black in a specified colour

    Tap the [Colour Mode] key

  2. 2

    Tap the [2 Colour] key

  3. 2

    Tap the [Change] key

  4. 2

    Tap the [Except Black] key

  5. 2

    Tap the colour you want to copy

    After the settings are completed, tap .
    The colour you specify here is copied in two colours plus black.
Converting reddish colours in a document to shades of another colour to copy in this colours and black

    Tap the [Reddish Colour] key

  5. 2

    Tap the colour to be used with black for printing

    After the settings are completed, tap .
    The reddish portions are replaced with the colour you specify here and used for copying with black.

Single Colour
