ADJUSTING THE SCREENING
Overview
When printing a document that has gradations such as a photo or illustration, a filter called a screen can be used to convert the gradations to groupings of fine dots (screening).
- This function is available in a Windows environment.
- Printer driver PCL6 or PS can use this function.
Operation

Click the [Advanced] tab.
Selecting screening settings
The screen used for conversion can be selected for the type of document to be printed ("Default", "Text/Photo", "Text", "Photo", "Dot (High)"*1, *2, "Dot (Low)"*1, *2, "Dot"*1, *3).*1 Can only be selected when the PS printer driver is used.*2 Can only be selected when the color mode is set to "Automatic" or "Color".*3 Can only be selected when the color mode is set to "Black and White".
